When did we stop selling groceries?

Think about it. We may be classified as a Grocery Store but it's gone beyond that. I feel like we are a wanna be Walmart. No one wants to buy a cell phone at a grocery store.

If we've gone "beyond" that, then by your own statement, we're STILL selling groceries.

If you're asking when and why did we start selling crap other than groceries, it's because the shareholders want their profits. And even if it means selling obscure and perhaps offensive material just because other stores are doing it and people are buying it, then so be it.

I've wondered that even in my own store.  We have stores that are more like warehouses with food and marketplace stores are even worse.  I don't know how people can stand working those stores.

We don't sell groceries!  We sell credit cards and OSAT surveys!

Our store sells furniture, plants and outdoor gardening items along with the food.

I keep waiting for us to start renting the unisex bathrooms passing them off as cheap hotel rooms.

Kroger has been Wal-Mart for quite a while now but their union friends help keep the illusion that they aren't.

While there is definitely more product now hasn't there been a drug/gm department for a long time? That is kind of their job to stock the non food items....
