Why not just work in the deli? Hard working people are few and far there so you should fit right in.

Deli and bakery are both very demanding since you have to produce product and wait on customers. Salad bar is much easier. The key is finding which department fits you best based on your availability and your personal preference.

Salad bar is an actual department? My store is huge, and salad bar is still part of the deli.

Technically salad bar, sushi, snack bar, and sometimes nutrition are the same department and they generally share the same payscale.

At my store, Nutrition and Sushi are separate from Deli. But not Salad Bar.

Salad Bar is a subdivision of Produce here, not Deli. But it's it's own mini department, like Floral or Nutrition.
