I've seen posts on here and thought to myself that probably didn't happen like the post said or thank goodness this doesn't happen at my store. Today I'm working in my dept that is not associated with any grocery or sub grocery dept and a customer asks me why there is no ice crème in your cases and I go and look half the sku's aren't there it's whipped out and another customers asks the same thing. I go back to the freezer and ask the lady who works frozen what's going on and I hear "pifffffff and emmmffff I've been working hard all day" Ok I say can you help these customers with the ice crème " what do they want" I said ice crème I guess, there's several people our there. I wait 2 minutes and tell her look come out there with me and I'll help you find what they want. After helping a few customers I go back to my dept to take care my work. Our lady co-manager asks ME why am I harassing the frozen lady and tell's me she's working hard and doing the best she can and not to bother her and I say wooooooo wooooooooo wooooooo wait. I get dogged and chewed out for a good minute before I can say now can I tell you what really happened. After explaining what happened I still don't think she fully understands what is going on here. No one is saying she's not working hard, I'm trained if a customer has a question or a problem drop everything and take care of it. Now after what I witnessed today I'm scared for myself and I'm a full grown man and I'm upset customers aren't being taken care of in other departments. Thank god our store manager is back from vacation tomorrow because he is a man of reason and won't take this non sense.

I am with you, bro. I work Front End as a courtesy clerk and EVERY TIME I have had to deal with supervisor or management they won't let me get a word in until THEY are done.
It's got to be part of corporate training somewhere once they are selected for management. "Don't stop until you are done. Don't let them speak. Keep going until you are done."
It's pretty f-u-c-k-e-d up. I really hate Front End.
Co-managers are clueless idiots to be avoided at all costs.
As a former co-manager, I can say that statement is valid for 99% of co-managers. You want to know how to tell who the good co-managers are, the 1%? They quit.

This is so true but what I really liked was when you said, you were never here. LOL. Maybe though, we should all listen a little more and speak less and then we may understand more than we ever knew there was to understand.
