(RANT) Managers making us push surveys on customers
Permalink

Lately our store managers having been pushing us to circle the survey on the receipt and explain to the customers what it is and blah blah blah the gift cards too... Well i was also informed that if we didnt do that they will write us up. I think that is complete bull****. The customers dont give af about that.. I should know, I have complaints from customers plus they are now snatching their receipt before I can... I have never circled the survey and dont plan on doing it. I refuse to annoy the customer with some bullsh*t you think they want. Half the crap the Kroger try to push on the customers, they dont care!! Iike the stupid taste of mexico bull.. I refuse to do any of the new crap you want us to do because you think that will make the customers happier... WRONG!! you dumb ass managers have no idea what the customers want. I get enough rude ass ****ing fat piece of **** head customers so I will not do anything else to piss them off more so they start throwinh **** at me again!! **** you Kroger and your stupid promotions!!! Shove that **** right up your mother****ing ass!!! Only a few more months before i can finally quit... Wooosaaahh *rant over* (sorry its all over the place and for my language.. I am just so pissed!! I have never been so disrespected like I was today) this wasnt suppose to be a rant lol -______-

Call your steward if they are threatening to write you up for something beyond your control. They can't make you push the survey because there's a code at random and it's not your problem to look for it.

Sadly I am..I will heading to college soon so I wont have to deal with the bull no more. But today was a stressful 9 hour shift day.. I had a customer **** at me again. Usually I dont say anything , just smile and kill them with kindness.. but today I had enough and threw their cash and receipt back at them for being a rude f*cking b*tch!! Once had a customer unbag her groceries and threw her bologna and hotdogs at me because she didnt pick up the right ones that were on sale.

This sounds exactly like my store.  I mean so much so I think you work with me on the front end.  They want us to say so much stuff that people don't want to listen to, when the customer just wants to get out of there and go home.

I doubt they would write anyone up for not doing this stuff, I'm sure it will blow over just like everything else.

I only explain the extra fuel points part, the rest of it the customers can read for themselves.  Sometimes I don't say anything.  But I always highlight the survey information on the receipt.

As for them picking up the wrong items not on sale, that's their fault.  I know you want to throw things back at them, but we can't, as much as we want to.

They're doing this at my store as well, probably a big company-wide OSAT push from corporate. Nobody's been threatened with a writeup, though, and we only have been asked to tell like 5 people a day about it.

i sure wish someone would figure this out. People are at Kroger mainly because they don't want to wait in line at Wally World.

If you're going to tell all customers to mark 'highly satisfied' everything on the survey, why even have a survey at all? I'm sure a lot of money would be saved in ink and paper if we didn't have these. General comments are always helpful for any store, but a survey that you want specific results from is just a waste of everyone's time.

Kroger's receipt printers use thermal paper, there is no ink. You can write on the receipts with your fingernail because the friction causes enough heat to activate the dye.

OMG!! I was just starting to explain the survey to a lady today and she reached out and snatched the receipt out of my hand and gave me a go to hell look and stormed off!!!!  But - I remembered my three AAA's and told her to come back and see us, have a nice day and all that!!!!! She was stomping off rather quickly but I'm sure I yelled it out loud enough for her to hear.  OMG.  Kroger.

Lol. It's bad to go from the front end to meat? Not so much. If you can handle the cold temps, you'll be on a better paygrade and have a 'get out of bagging free' card. In fact the only department that people hate being put in is... wait for it... front end.

No s-h-i-t. Front End sucks.

It seriously sucks.

But last week when they had potential new hires sitting in the break room, I put on a smile and told them that I loved my job.

The same job I am hoping like hell I can leave before September. The only reason I stay now is because I have no other source of income and am trying to feel out new job leads.

And don't get me started on the damn parking lot. I'll write a novel of complaints before I finish.

Maybe the scores would be higher if Kroger stopped annoying customers asking them to take surveys.
