How do I request days off?

My boss says just use the eschedule, but I have no idea what that is. I need to request certain days off of  the upcoming week but can't, who should I ask or what should I do?

Upcoming week as in tomorrow? Too late. Depending on your dept you have to put in at least one week's notice and request on eSked before Monday night because the schedule is usually made on a Wednesday or Thursday. If you're in a small department, you may seriously have to wait 2-3 weeks to take a specific day off. If you're on the front end then you're pretty much guaranteed whatever you ask for soon.

It's too late. Depending on your department and store, you need to request days off at least 1 week in advance. These requests need to be done on Eschedule. At my store, all requests for time off have to be put in at least 1 week in advance and have to be put in by Sunday of the following week because schedules for the following week come out on Thursdays. If you don't know what Eschedule is then you need to ask because that's what you use to request all of your days off.

Or... you could explain to him what Eschedule is, how to get on it, and tell him how to request days off?

Then again.. we're Kroger employees. We're not supposed to be able to figure proper procedures out, even if it's only common sense.

Anyway, Anon, you can access your share of Eschedule by logging on through this site: greatpeople.me

Just copy that URL and paste it on your URL bar.

You sign in using your EUID and your password.

If you're new and haven't set up a proper password, you'll have to get on a store computer and log in on ExpressHR there.

Once there, click on "My eSchedule" to the left of the site's search bar. You'll be able to see your schedule from there. It will pull up a calendar with your ****s. From the same calendar, click on "My eSchedule Portal".

After that, you'll see that one of the tabs on top say "My Time Off". Click on that and request the days off that you need.
