Wrongly demoted by my bitch ass front end manager

Ok so I've been with Kroger for about a year and a half. I was hired as a cashier , I learned quickly and within my first month i was one if the fastest checkers. Ok so about six months into my employment , my front end manager asked me if I'd like to learn guest care. Of course I said yes and not long after that I was trained for about two weeks and starting having regular shifts there. Ok so like two months later , I start helping to supervise , one of our supervisors gets distracted easily and doesn't always keep up with the breaks so shed leave it to me no big deal. So about 3 or 4 months agI they started scheduling me to supervise on my own and everyone told me what a good job I was doing with quevision  and keeping the line to just the 1 + 1 thing. Then in aboit mid June I leave to go on vacation. When I come back , a girl who was hired after me had all the guest care shifts and all the supervisor shifts. No one could answer when I asked why I wasn't scheduled but the one day in guest care. Now when I look on the schedule , not only does she have all the supervisor shifts I'm no longer even in the schedule for guest care! they even took my keys! no one will tell me why, my front end manger ignores me whenever I work and has even cut my hours majorly and I want to know do I have grounds to file a grievance? I've come in on days off , come in early , stayed later , never late , gone above and beyond measly $7.55 pay grade, why was I demoted and now someone with less seniority Than me is getting trained next week as my replacement! I'm really fed up with Kroger

they took your override key?  that's really odd.  hard to imagine you can't get an explanation to that.  does your override number work if you use it at self-checkout where you don't need a key?

hell we've had people fired by loss prevention for theft and they had their keys right up until they were shown the door.

it's possible your manager was written up and had to make changes like deciding someone who is a supervisor should not be just to save their own neck for now.  I've seen it happen.  stupid stuff done for appearances.  even then i don't think the demoted supervisors lost their override keys.  as for safe keys those are hard to come by at my store.

I would find the answer ASAP as to why they did this. Keep asking what you did wrong. To be demoted without notice or clause is wrong. And if they cannot answer (will not, refuses to) then don't be the good guy/gal anymore. Just do what your job requires and don't favors for them anymore. That's what I did when they pulled that crap on me. Because of that I'm not their "favorite person" but oh well. But cover your end and look into it a to reasons they did that to you

Did your pay change? If no, then it wasn't a demotion. You should thank someone for getting you out of customer service desk. It's all smiles and giggles until you get that pissed off customer experience that earns you a write-up.
