I'm also a meat and seafood clerk.

I started at 7.30 an hour, after 6 months got a raise to 7.35 an hour. I'll have been with Kroger for a full year, in about three weeks. I think my next pay raise goes to 7.40 an hour. I think you cap at around 10 or 11 dollars an hour. After working here for 10 or more years.

PS- If all you have to do is that, I want to be a meat clerk in your store... We have to clean the backrooms, clean the cases at night, stock the shelves, cut meat for customers, cut meat for the case,  cut seafood, steam seafood, break down pallets in the mornings, take out the trash, make bales, and half the time we get called upfront, to bag and do carts. If all you have to do is clean and stock... I'll trade with you.

Lol no thanks! I mean I take down the case at night but that really isn't that bad. I also do trash but that really isnt that bad either. I like taking the trash back to the dumpster because it gives me a few minutes away from the meat department & take a little walk. other than that stuff  there really isn't much else. It's not that bad of a gig!

It really depends on your local contract.   Here meat clerks top out close to 14$ and it takes 5 years to get there.  The raises are really unnoticeable until after you pass the 3 year mark, then they start to rise by 1$+ every 6 months.
