Have the log book in hand and write in the temps. If something happens and you forget there's really no set time. If it's supposed to be logged at 12 and 4 and nothing got written in at 12 I would write a temp in at 12 and 4.
Y'all don't have the new system that checks it for you? Your Very Lucky... I miss doing temp checks with the infrared gun... You will see why I say that when they install them in your store... When the system gets mad it calls the store and you will hear :Fast Five Coordinator Please check the application 1-0-1... Then you gotta check the app to see whats wrong then take a temp check of the broken fridge and log it on the computer and give a reason for it happening. Take note its always a false alarm.. From what I am told it check the temp every 30 minutes, If it gets 3 bad temp checks it sounds the Alert... Defrost not included.
I cannot wait to see if it really works when one of the refrigerators breaks.

We just got this system and no more checks.
Our forms said the checks must be done within 30 minutes of designated time. Check yours. Writing them in late can result in termination for falsifying company paperwork. Better to take a verbal warning or write up for missing a temp check.
