Can they do this

I requested Sun (today) and Mon off a while back. Now as a habit I check esched and the paper one and compare the two. So far they've been spot on. However, Thursday, as I was leaving work I checked it once more and someone crossed out my request and penciled in 10am to 2pm. i have opted to take today off as originally scheduled. I also made a copy of the original schedule. Can they do something about me not showing? When I refuse to sign the write up paper they issue me, and show them the original schedule and that I had the day off I'm in the clear right?

So, they accepted your request then denied it? Then they just penciled it in? If they didn't make a proper new schedule and didn't tell you about it, I'd think you're safe. Just play dumb if asked about it.

They post your schedule AND eSchedule on Thursday? Wow. I gotta wait til Saturday before I see either, which makes it hard to plan my week.

Check your contract. In Central Division where I was manager (local 700 represent!), I could change your schedule without notice up to noon on Saturday. Any manager that gave you that shift after you were scheduled off was likely within their rights to do it, but it's a douche move.  As long as you haven't said anything to anyone at the store about checking your schedule, play dumb.

It really does suck working for Kroger, if anything else the hours are far too shaky.
I would love to have my next job be one that, even if boring and mundane, would be where I knew when I would be working each day.
And know that in two weeks, I'd have the same hours and same days.
Sucks not being able to plan for your future until Friday or even Saturday.

But what if someone left the day the schedule came out or early Sat morning before noon? Then I don't think anything could really be done if you didn't give them notice (no offense). In honesty you'd probably end up terminating me for a no show.
