As most of you front end workers know, the Juvenile Diabetes Association "shoe" drive just ended. Our store manager is claiming that she is taking possession of one of the grand prizes for selling the most "shoes." Is she even eligible?

Read the contest rules. See if it's only for certain departments, stores, districts, etc. Most of the time, it's a store thing.
If it IS a store thing, then it ought to be in the breakroom where people can use whatever that prize is.
If it's an individual competition, then it depends on who qualifies to participate. The manager cannot claim the prize as his own unless he's qualified to participate AND won the prize.
You can try reporting your manager on ethicspoint for theft if he shouldn't be getting said prize.
Supposedly it is a Vera Bradley purse valued in the hundreds....I will definitely be reporting her if she isn't supposed to win the prize. I don't care about the bag, but there are a few employees that worked their butts off to win, and to see the store manager (who had access to how many shoes had to be won per day, etc.) waltz off with the prize is all kinds of wrong. IMO
