So, I was out doing carts today and this lady decided to NOT stop as I was crossing with a load of carts. Most people are courteous enough to stop and let me go. This lady, however, wasn't even paying attention. She blew through the parking lot without even looking. Two other CCs who were out there with me almost got hit too, not by the same lady though. Why do people have NO courtesy in a parking lot? Smh.

I feel your pain. Our customers do not give a damn about us or you. They would sooner run over your foot than not make that extra 20, 30, 40 feet in their air-conditioned vehicle as you sweat it out in the hot, humid air and gas fumes.
The times when i have been called to get carts i have been EXTRA CAREFUL about cars. Crazy drivers out there and i rather be careful then get into a incident with some of the loonies you see at Krogers

I made it clear to my supervisors a long time ago that in the event I am ever hit (and hopefully I will be in the 'right' due to wearing the stupid reflective vest) that I will be quitting on the same day.
Not 'suing', mind you. Just quitting. Although it would suck to not have income coming in, I know I can do better than Kroger and eight months (so far) is a pretty good show that I can put up with their crap and put up with retail.
I make the same amount of pay for even less amount of accolade, accomplishment or reinforcement while out in the parking lot. I don't make enough or could put up with enough to get hit by a car, no matter how slow, fast or backing up it was doing at the time. If it happens, I quit.

If you KNOW you can do better than Kroger, then get out of here. If you want to say Kroger is a dead end job you should seriously back up your words.

Working on it dude but without reliable transportation to take me out of the city or offer up better opportunities from within the city I live it is rather difficult. Trust me, if I had my car working, I would quit Kroger tomorrow.
