Grocery clerks give a damn busted......

Yesterday I'm stocking lunchmeat and there's a pack of dairy cheese slices in the pepperoni, I grab it thinking oh no this will be bad, nope it's frozen solid.  I think hmmmm I bet whoever is working frozen put that there as it's right next to the freezer doors.  I tell some coworkers and everyone says yeah that's T***y, I say no he wouldn't do that.  They just smile at me.  So there it is again so I ask him do you know why there's a frozen pack of cheese in the pepperoni and he smiles well I bet you put it in my freezer.  I say NO and you're grocery either scan it out or put it where it goes.  I hear some gibberish as I'm walking away.  He's got almost 40 years with Kroger and does this?  He complains a lot but works hard but now I've lost any respect for him.

lol you lost all respect for him because he put some frozen cheese in the wrong refridgerated section? I work frozen and if I had to take every item that customers decide to throw in the freezers back to their correct spot I'd never get done. I'll scan out anything damaged or ruined by freezing, but I wont walk across the entire store multiple times to put back a stick of cheese. Ain't nobody got time for that. Except for those whose job it is, they got time for that.

EDIT: I'll put it in the right temperature zone, but that's it.

Frozen cheese in non refrigerated pepperoni rack.  It would have taken 20 seconds to walk it back to dairy.

How do you know a customer didn't put it there?

It was frozen solid, a customer won't take kraft cheese slices out of the freezer door and lay it in a pepperoni display, but a pos grocery clerk with 40 years would.  I asked him, he admitted to it.

My, my look what passes as a Kroger employee these days.  You can't even write at a 5th grade level.  Go finish your GED and maybe we can have a conversation.

He probably has a GED already.  I think it's his drinking that's the problem LOL!

 "Hazing"?

If you think that type of thing is ok, you must still have that frat boy douche mentality. And just because you have "seniority" it doesn't mean you shouldn't have to walk across the store to put your own damn stock back in its right place.

Well who knows maybe some of the more senior baggers used to give him swirlies  and make him do an impossible sit-up.

There's a lot I could say but when it comes to it you make me laugh.  So far your purpose in life has been to keep the lunch meat case stocked, are you sure you want to go down this road?  The only conversation we'd probably have in life is "hey bro, you're out of smoked turkey..."

Haha yep, you see right through me!  It's the drinking, the **** my ipad comes up with for auto correct, and the poor laziness to not proofread is the problem! lol

I don't have a good enough degree because I stayed through all of high school, I also finished college.  I did think about getting a good enough degree in 10th or 11th grade because you could get your associates degree and GED in 2 years.  My argument was I could finish HS, get into a 4 year school and be 2 years ahead of the game getting my associates the summer I would've graduated HS, and gotten my bachelors at 20 my guidance counselor wouldn't go for it though.  If you **** up and drop out they push you to go that route, but if you stay in school and get good grades they won't let you do it. Oh we'll.

Yes hazing, and I'm not sure why you put it in quotes?

I don't know where you think I posted that I agree with it but I'm not going to pretend it doesn't happen.

while we're at it I do think I'd thrive in a "frat boy douche bag" environment!"  I don't know why people like you talk about it like its a bad thing.  It sounds like a great work environment!

I'm a Journeyman Cutter who was working smoked meat that day.  Kroger has gone to everything pre-cut expect for beef which can be cut in no time.  I make as much as a co-manager without going through the brain washing classes and having to wear a dress shirt everyday.

You probably make more than a co-manager in training, but there's no way you're making as much as a co-manager who's been with the company as long as you have.

Just a word here on seniority...Speaking as someone who has some (23 years) that doesn't give me the right to disrespect or denigrate anyone else who has not worked here as long as I have. I know there are some who do this, and they give long term workers like me a bad name. I can only speak for myself here, but I don't treat my fellow associates like lesser citizens just because I happen to have been employed here longer. I'm proud of my position, and I work hard every shift, because I feel I can't ask others to do what I don't do myself. We are all in the trenches together my friends, with the rampaging customers on one flank and the corporate overlords on the other...and to survive we all have to help each other out. Okay, I've said my piece. :)
