Why do they insist on calling us "Associates"?  We are not associates.  We are employees.  Associates implies some sort of equality.  That certainly isn't true as far as Kroger is concerned.

Kick. Ass. I'd work in a white tee all day and actually be comfortable.

Honestly, I'm just shocked there are no spelling errors. I have very rarely seen notes or e-mails for that matter without blatant typos/misspellings.

We can wear Christmas sweaters/shirts and Santa hats.

and we only get 10% off one order over 35 bucks boo

I don't say Merry Christmas unless a customer says it first because half the time I forget it's so close.

Also, the store has started playing just Christmas music and how many horrible country covers are there?? I heard like 3 versions of "Baby it's cold outside" in one hour. Blue Christmas is annoying as it is, but a country cover? My sister and I will fight on Christmas day because I am declaring a moratorium on that nonsense.

It's amusing that a company that has 4-Day Christmas sales has any kind of written or unwritten rule on saying "Merry Christmas"

We've not had anything posted about wearing seasonal attire but a few have worn hats.  Last year we had a manager singing Christmas carols as people shopped on the 24th. Personnel changes have lead to a sense of ivory tower edicts and various draconian rules.  There's no feeling of fun, little sense that hard work is recognized or rewarded.

It's sad.
