Does this company consider New Year's Day as a legal holiday under the pay system?

I know I saw no extra pay when I worked Thanksgiving Day.
Same old crap on my paycheck.

No Memorial Day, It's 4th of July, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, Christmas Day and New Years Day.  I'm not sure how long you have to be with the company before you get holiday pay.  I do know the new hires don't get it.

Different contracts have different stipulations. Some pay memorial day, ours doesn't. Also holiday pay for us got slashed for new hires with the last contract. $1.00 per hour for full timers, 0.50 for part timers. CC get nothing. Everyone hired before the most recent contract still have the time and a half. Holiday pay is enacted immediately.

This is UFCW 1529 Delta division.

"CC get nothing."

Oh big surprise THERE.

Hey, just FYI, we do get something sometimes.
For instance, I had some stupid bi-tch flip me off in the parking lot today from the safety of her vehicle.
The worst part? She was the passenger.

I just looked at my check and I didn't get the holiday pay from Christmas Eve, HOWEVER, I got it for Labor Day. Mind you, I was still in trial mode in September.

New  years day pays holiday pay check your contract to see what you get. It could range anywhere from time and a half worked plus 6 hour "show up pay" to one of the two or none at all. I've worked for kroger for two years and just missed the date in the contract for overtime on holidays

Weird. In my local part timers get their rate times 4 hours and full timers get their rate times 8 hours on top of their hours worked for holiday pay.

Here's something wierd. I just checked my paystub for the pay period 12/28/2014-01/03/2015 and saw:

32.00 Regular hours

0.25 Overtime hours

8.00 Holiday hours

Here is the wierd part. I actually clocked in and out 5 days that week (worked New Years Day) for a total of 40.25 hours worked. It looks as if they disappeared a whole 8.00 hours from the timeclock.

Any other full-time employees have this happen?

I'm in the Atlanta Division

Tks...

No, unless you were supposed to get extra pay for the holiday on top of what you worked, it looks right. You worked 40.25 hrs, you got paid 40.25 hrs.

Thanks for the reply.
Shouldn't it have 40.00 regular hours listed on the stub instead of 32? I mean, it looks like I didn't even clock in for a day and instead took the holiday off in lew of the holiday pay.
I also wonder how this effects my vested hours accural. If it shows that I worked 8 less hours that is 8 less hours that gets added to the total, yes?
Thanks...

I dunno about the accruals thing as it's contract-specific. But as for how the hours are displayed, no it's definitely showing you worked those hours. Hours for anything other than regular weekdays get split out on your stub, even if you get paid the same rate.
