About two or three weeks ago, I got my vacation request form. It has 6 lines (#1 week beginning, #2 week beginning, etc) listed. I already filled out week #1 for vacation in July. Should I only take one vacation or should I put in a request for more?
Most contracts require that you have all your vacation requests in by a certain date. Ours is March 15th. Management then has until April 1st to either approve or deny any requests. Your store is different from mine. In my store, each department gets a spreadaheet with all the weeks listed across the top and the employees' names listed on the left in order of seniority. You simply find your name, go across to the date you want, and make an X in the box. That way you can see if someone with more seniority has already taken a week you want.
