hi i'm a night cashier and uscan worker at the he**hole called Krogers. tonight i was informed that the uscan keys would not be allowed any more only office can have the keys. office leaves at 10pm. it was saturday night and the uscan would not let me sell any id stuff because of manger key remove. it was painful to have to tell people they couldn't by there adult stuff at the uscan. i did have a register but still! and i couldn't even close the uscans down at the end of the night because of it. some prick in Kentucky or some where stole from the till and now everyone else now gets to suffer because of it. such bs. also i called my supervision office person they told me to Deal with it.
I don't understand why that is. They're supposed to be kept secure per loss prevention but it's not like they offer much access unless you haven't secured/locked the attendant station screen, in which case they'll bypass the password requirement. Otherwise they're mostly for show and a necessary evil to pull the till report to count in & out at night.
Sure they might have keys to baby formula drawers (necessary for WIC) or for tobacco if you have a case for it at self-checkout but why is that a reason to remove the keys entirely overnight? Puzzling.
