Anybody else makng these for Mardi Gras?  Until about 15 years ago, I had never heard of them.  A local bakery is also selling them in our store at almost 3 times the price of ours.  I have a feeling we're going to sell more.  We also have nine case of paczki donuts to get rid of.

We've been selling them for years but they only really became popular after Katrina. Go figure.

We always make them for Mardi Gras. There's a Catholic school here in town who always orders a bunch of them. and the Paczki's are actually selling pretty good this year.

Same here. They gained a small following around this time last year. it's nice and they are fairly good!

I have worked  in the bakery at Kroger for 17 years (in Columbus) and we have always sold them. Now if only they would quit sending us paczki's that would be great. I only have about 30 cases of them to go through and we are supposed to get more.
