Did you actually clock in and out each day? I do payroll at our store and we have less than 70 people working there (we're a small "country store"). I always have around 100 clock ring errors or somebody that just signs in and out because they forgot to clock or couldn't clock. Yesterday, I actually had a clerk ask for the clock ring book because she couldn't clock. I went to the time clock with her and asked her to clock in. The girl tried 3 different badge numbers before she got it right! How hard is it to remember your badge number after 3 weeks? Don't start yelling and running to HR until you're sure you didn't make a mistake!
except HR can check Kronos and see if there's a missed punch or not.
as for new hires we put their euid and badge number on the back of their new name tags so they can't forget. although some can't keep track of their name tags but that seems to run in families.
We do the EUID on the back of the badge. Today I had another new hire trying to use the book and I did the walk to the time clock and let's try it thing again. Amazing how it worked! They just think it's easier to write it in the book. Oh, and this morning when doing payroll, there was over 100 errors or write ins! That's too many, I'm so tempted to throw away the book but I know they'll just write it on a piece of paper and stick it somewhere. That would be so much worse having about 100 pieces of paper everywhere.
