Okay so I was a checker who got moved to customer service. I got trained but for some reason it seems they forgot to teach me everything. The money order machine is a password to open it and they didn't tell me that. For some reason it wont take my normal password.

Then the make it right mission is way to filled with holes, (I am a pre-law major)A lady just returned 70 usd dollars of yogurt after she herself just said that she left them in her pantry. For some reason they were bad.....I am fine doing it if it was 5-10usd but 70usd? I called our manager and she said just do it, later they gave me a talk. Later that day a manager told me to put money to someones green dot card after (they said i had not done it and it had a void transaction on it) Today the head money counter  lady (she's sweet) called me and said that I had done it twice...I told her what had happened and she said not to listen to the managers. But they are the bosses. I also got swamped with about 8-10 people who didn't get their 4x points. (Because they didn't read the huge billboard that said not for variable amount cards 10-100.You also have to down load a digital coupon) I tell these people that and they yell for a manager. ( I have asked them for more training and they ignore me)

I hold 3 college level degrees(getting my 3rd in law), I teach industry level gaming classes and my bosses melt when a customer gets angry. I understand and can make the customer happy but it seems the make it right programs is the "walk all over us program".

I work at Kroger for experience. So far I have enjoyed it but its changed alot.

You will get a lot of experience for potential lawsuits if you stay with Kroger. Grab a copy of the union handbook and see how closely Kroger management follows it.

Start passing the blame onto everyone else. You think too much for someone making bottom dollar :P

Get a job at a law office and quit Kroger.

Generally the money order machine needs to be put into a function mode to open it.

Don't listen to the managers because usually they don't know how to do things at the desk unless they had been a prior front end manager.

At the desk we are basically paid to give away the store. Especially if there's a receipt. Managers just want to be left alone and not be asked about every thing.  Definitely for $70 in yogurt, I'd call.

be careful with the green dot reloads. they won't necessarily (or ever) tell you the balance on the card. if it's approved, it went through. if it's declined you need to do 48-sign on.  There should've been email on how to take care of customers who were confused by the 4x points thing. If you have access to CAM you can add fuel points. I'd been through that problem too, people not understanding the program. It's almost more trouble than it's worth.

Make it right is kinda nutty.  We take the customer's word more than ever, we're not longer coupon police... it's almost the wild west.
