Never once... have I called off.

Not once.

Managers have... Floor Supervisors and other associates have... But not I.

Until today.

JUST got back from the dentist. Long story short, what was initially going to be a simple tooth extraction turned into a full blown oral surgery and now the pain is just too ****ing much.

I've even come in with the flu... when I was snowed in- but this ****, I can't even move...

I loathe the fact that my perfect attendance  will be tarnished but I. Just. Can't.

I know that 3 days equal one occurrence (though I only plan on calling for one day), but I can't find ANYWHERE where it says when they drop off...

So, I guess my question is... Is it 3 days = 1 occurrence? (Just want to be sure anyways)

And when do they drop off? (I've heard 6 months to a year but... yeah, can't find it anywhere...)

Thanks though! I definitely appreciate any help with this!

Relax, you don't get a gold star or certificate for perfect attendance. For us our count resets within 90 days, I don't know how it is in your store.

I had an extraction 2 weeks ago.  Once I got past those dang needles it wasn't so bad.  Except the sound.  Crunchy sounding.  It was weird.  I kept moaning and the dentist kept asking if I need something more for the pain.  I said no, I was just trying to drown out that sound lol!

I had to go to 4 pharmacies to get my pain meds.  I was in pain by the time I finally got my pills.  Popped one in my mouth as I was sliding my debit card.  Problem was he gave me Tylenol 4.  All the pharmacies were out of 4 and only one had it.  I've never ever heard of Tylenol 4.  Tylenol 3 I've had several times.  Let me tell ya, it was sooooo worth the trouble.  Those things are fantastic.  Why he gave me 21 of them I will ever know.  I mean, you can only take one every 8 hours.  I have 17.5 left lol!  I slept/floated for a day and a half.  I'm not a pill person but those things work!  I think I could have pulled all my hair out and never felt a thing.  Hope you got something good for the pain!

I had all 4 wisdom teeth out my freshman year of college. They gave me generic (but strong) vicodin. Took nothing at all the day of the surgery or the 2 days after, but the next morning I woke up with a headache that rivaled any other pain I've felt. And the pills did nothing at all.
