Can anyone tell me if they know of someone who has successfully acquired a full-time position in the front end without having open availability. I currently work between 3640 hours a week as a front and supervisor and there is a full-time position being offered this week and I would like to apply but I don't have open availability. I was just wondering if anyone knew if Dillons /Kroger gave people the opportunity of full-time if they can't work 24 seven.
What does your contract say about full time? Ours is 32 hours or more for 12 consecutive weeks. Full time gets the next highest tier pay rate. So at 36 to 40 hours a week you are still considered part time? What position is it?
You have to have open availability to be full-time in my district, but if there is a good reason for your restrictions and your supervisor isn't a douche, they may work with you.
My restrictions are only every other week I can only work during school hours. Custody in court, single mom, no family. I have to be able to drop off and pick up and be home at night per court order, shared custody. But... Even though I am limited on that issue, I would still be available on weekends. I went ahead and applied for the position, I have four working years experience with Kroger. No Union. I'll let you know what happens. Thank you all for the responses.
