Hi everybody. I'm just going to jump right into it.
I am a Back-up Lead in my store's Grocery department (night shift stocker)and upon coming back from vacation I noticed on HR Express that not only my position has been changed to Grocery Clerk, but also my pay has been reduced to the default amount I was making before I got my raise when I got the lead position. Is anyone else dealing with this? I asked my HR clerk what the deal was and she was told that she was told by the store manager to change my position. Yet, here I am a few days later still with a key in my hand and still performing backup lead responsibilities. Should I just hand them back the key and continue working as a normal grocery clerk?
Also, on my check stub, there is a spot called Union Arrears. Basically, arrears are money that is owed that should have been paid earlier. The amount is the usual amount for for our union dues. But upon looking back at all my previous paystubs, it shows that the amount due was successfully taken out of each paycheck. So whats the deal with that. Its like Kroger is taking every little bit that they can out of my (maybe all of our paychecks). Heck even the insurance amount went up. From 5 bucks a check to 10 bucks per check in the span of a month.
Has anyone else noticed these small incremental increases in how much Kroger and the Union are taking?
