whose stores have had this done?  What changes were made?  Supposedly we're getting one and I noticed on the guns that the location of products is incorrect now (really fun considering we've been getting lots of new items lately so when you scan the item it will tell you the wrong location).  Anyway, how did your store deal with the change (did they close for the change or did they work with customers present?)  How difficult was it to learn the new setup (as far as sorting grocery trucks)?

A center store remodel(KCSD reset) is what we're getting this year. The bread should be in the center of the store with expanded nutrition sections. Even on the major remodels, stores don't close. They'll usually section off an area, move the product around and get it done before moving onto the next one.

Getting used to the new layout is just like when you first started, it'll take a month or so to get it all down pat but after that it should be business as usual.

is the center store bread setup like a regular aisle or is it wider to make it easy to run bread with customers present?

Oh and as for getting used to the new item locations, do they allow extra time on the DDP for this?  I imagine it'll be a significant setback, taking longer to sort and to run the products

Our store is currently under going a remodel. Everything was moved. Usually the construction crews would work over night until store opened. Reset crews would then come in around 6 am and work while the store was still open. Customers we not happy. We had entire aisles empty at times. And yes for about 2 weeks item locations were wrong until they had been reset to the new correct locations.  Breaking down trucks takes some getting used to but same items are mostly on same aisles as before just moved to different aisle number. Other changes here included wall color changes. Different areas different colors. We now have 2 u scan locations at either end of registers. New sushi bar and deli bakery areas. Nutrition is expanding. And some other minor things. Hope this helps.

so is going to 'center store' considered a remodel or more of a reset?  Sounds like your store got a remodel that included a center store change as well, is that right?

I'm not the anon you're asking, but yes, you're right. Normal center store resets only include product moves.
