Who to contact..

At my store, we the front end are never informed about anything until last minute or after the fact.  Our coupon policy changed and its still unclear to a lot of us. Our store isn't that big but alot of people are picking up extreme couponing and its driving us crazy. They changed the coupon policy to accept 10 identical  coupons unless the coupon says otherwise. And they told us to accept competitors coupon if they scan and expired ones. Thats all they told us. Didnt explain or anything.

Everyday someone tells us something different about our policy . Its forever changing and confusing and I always end up with the angry couponer who wants to argue. At this point Im thinking of calling a manager or supervisor to deal with the extreme couponers. Im at a point where im paranoid that I will eventually get fired for being misinformed about the policy.  I dont want a firing on my record over something dumb . Kroger is convenient to me . Its closed to my home and school while better paying jobs are couple of miles away in the next town over. Otherwise I would get rid of the stress and quit..

Anywho back to my original question.  Who can I contact to get a clear understanding of our policy because no one in our store clearly knows?

I don't even work front end, but MIC often. I was told by a co-manager that extreme couponing needs to be limited, but in extremely vague terms. Basically, if it seems "excessive" then don't allow it? Yet, at the same time we're supposed to "make it right". Definitely conflicting viewpoints.

I don't think there is a policy per-say. I think it's up to the stores discretion.

Depends on who the supervisor is, as to what the policy is at my store. If I know who the supervisor is ahead of time, I can act accordingly.  biggrin

In my division we don't allow doubling of coupons. It made a lot of extreme couponers mad, and the rest of society breathed a collective sigh of relief. Make it right has not changed *that* policy, but now we have to accept a coupon if it's a couple days out of date. If someone gives us a handfull of expired coupons, we don't have to accept them.

Ralphs division. After the initial guidelines of Make it Right on couponing, I notified corporate that a couple of their guidelines  are illegal under federal and California law. They responded bt thanking me and revised policy. We must not take coupons from another manufacturer or if its the right manufacturer, they still must buy the exact item. California law. We cannot make any exceptions to liquor, beer or wine as that is regulated in the state. They said Ok to a couple expired, and will take the loss. Not a whole bunch of those. We do not double. And no more than 5 free coupons.
