Get this... at the beginning of 2016 the min wage for WV is going to be $8.75. I will be making at that time $8.75 (starting in September). I wonder how much I will get shafted this time on my wages! When the min wage went up to $8 from $7.25 I was making 8.10 and only went up to $8.55.
If I'm not making $9.50 or more... I'm going to be one very pissed off employee.
On a side note: My other employer is also (more than likely) going to be paying me $8.75 at that time as well. I will, totally, have to talk to them about a wage increase too!
There is no way in hell I'm going to be working either job for minimum wage after being there for 6 and 3 years, respectively.

Our minimum wage has gone up to 9 and now 10 dollars the past two years. I busted my ass to make 10.15 an hour, which is now exactly what any newhire two-week-bagger is making.
I wish we would get a raise. We are still 7.25. In June, it would be my 2 year anniversary and im only making 7.85 now. Luckily I dont need the money that bad. I just need enough to help buy another car. Once I get a new car, Ima find a better job and quitting this crap. Only reason I work here now is because its close to my house.
Last time when minimum wage went up from 7.90 to 8.10 in Ohio, they gave me a whole 5 cent raise to compensate for it. Even now i only make 80 cents over minimum wage, after working there 3.5 years.
With Kroger in WV and all these multi-tier contracts I, a 10 year employee and top rated part-timer make the same as a 5 year and 20 year employee who are also part timers.

Ugh, how hopeful you make it sound >_<
