I did seven years at two different stores. Among full-timers, they stayed pretty consistent. The part-timers, especially on the front end as you can imagine, turned over quite a bit. I did have some front end part-timers that worked their butts off and have been around for years.
How long does the average employee last at Kroger?
What are the biggest reasons employees leave kroger?
Does Kroger get a lot of job applicants?
Is frozen Grocery hard?

top 3 hardest depts.
1) Several months to a year. If you make it past a year you'll probably be there for several years as the pay and your familiarity with the job keeps you coming back.
2) You're expected to do everything for almost nothing and some stores are just plain toxic to work at.
3) Not really, but when people are hired they are hired in waves so you'll get 5-6 people starting at a time, all together.
4) It's not hard, but you work in the cold for extended periods of time.
5) Not really, but again you work in the cold for extended periods of time. Stocking milk can be exhausting.
6)
1. Deli (drama) 2. Front end/Utility (customers and physical labor - carts) 3. Night stock grocery (very demanding physical labor - throwing water, dog food, and heavy boxes)

All this. And don't expect thorough training either. If you work in virtually any backroom dept you'll likely need to use the power jacks or standup forklifts. Absolutely no hands-on training with these dangerous machines.
