I was just offered a job at a Kwik Shop and it sounds great but I don't think the woman that hired me noticed I'm 28 weeks pregnant which is amazing because I'm very obviously showing. If I accept the job, I clearly won't qualify for maternity leave but will they fire me for needing time off to have the baby?

They can't fire you because then you could file a lawsuit

Maybe she just thought you were fat?

but i'd keep the job that you have maternity leave with. Start over after the baby or just try and work it out with them to see what can be done.

They do not need a reason at all if you are in your probation period. After that they will not.......... if you can do the job.

Well then I guess her best bet would be to wait until her probation period is over before going on maternity leave.  She still has 12 weeks left.
