This morning I woke up with an email telling me I was hired by Kroger. I went on Onboarding Portal and everything, but I just realized that I was never given a first day of work. Will they send me an email later telling me when I start? I tried calling earlier, but the person I was supposed to talk to was in a meeting.
It sucks because the only people we can hire are like you. They can't solve a simple problem without going online for advise.

Pretty much. I mean if you get hired by ANYBODY you should always go directly to them for more info. How would any of us POSSIBLY know when someone's start date is?
