Anybody ever go to the "official" Kroger sites like yammer? Or read the mag's you get in the mail? They sure do make Kroger to look like a fun place to work. I'm sure it can be with the right management.
Do any of you (me too) complainers work at these stores?
In the few years I've been with K...we have had 4 different managers....is this normal?
I do enjoy my job and what I do....just so sick of the disarray of it all. I like consistency. We don't have that at my store.
That was one of my complaints when I worked at Kroger, consistency. I liked it when we got a new manager, co-manager, or front end manager. They would always start off real bossy and important lol! They had to show me how to do my job their way, because evidently after working for Kroger for 2 years I wasn't doing it right. Really? How hard is it? Scan groceries, put in bag, give change if needed. There was one new co-manager who wouldn't approve a check for over $300. This customer was mad. She was one of our regular customers who came in at least twice a week and spent that much each time. Needless to say the co-manager found out the next day when the lady called and complained lol! Same co-manager called me in to work one night. Well I clocked in and she said "oh, we don't need you after all". So I said ok, thanks, you can pay me four hours for showing up, it's in the contract lol! She later got fired for sleeping with the CSM.
