Background check passed but later terminated? Wtf?

I went to pick up my check today. Unexpectedly, I was called to see a member of management. Having no idea why, I found out I was being terminated Because of my background check didn't clear of 2 an half weeks of already working there. However, before the interview of getting this job I consented for the agency of kroger to look into my criminal history. I currently have a misdemeanor 2nd degree of forged instrument. I was instigated into this situation and the other person in this crime took the full blame of it. So i plead guilty to a misdemeanor. Before orientation the recruiter told me that my drug test and background check passed and there was no problem with me having a misdemeanor.   i was able to start working shortly after. So im wandering what the hell is going on? I plan on talking to the store manager tomorrow. What are y'all ideas on this and what do you suggest me to do? I have no idea why the hell they would terminate me when general dynamics offered me a job? At general dynamics you deal with everybody personal information: social security, address, etc.

general dynamics also passed my background check..

1. They canNot fire you when you are not on the clock. EVEN if you are on probation.

2. Unfortunately, they can fire you for ANY reason while on probation. They don't like that one stray hair that you didn't comb back? Buh-bye. However, if background cleared I would DEFINATELY ask managemt as to why you were terminated if your backrounds checked out being as it's impossible to lie on those thjng gs

You have a 2nd degree felony for forgery and you were working with everybody's personal information.  Someone finally caught it so you were fired.  They shouldn't have hired you in the first place.

No, I just made a mistake.  I typed in felony instead of misdemeanor.  I wasn't quite through with my first cup of coffee this morning.  Thanks for catching that.  Glad it got you riled up though.  LOL!

From the US Government website:

If the amount involved in the forgery is less than $200 and the offender has no previous convictions, this crime will be classified as a misdemeanour.

Let's cover the actual mentioned details first:

Cant fire you off the clock. And just why the fk not...? You're...........FIRED. Neither on nor off any one's clock.

Second: This forgery conviction. Felony? Misdemeanor? Fell asleep with a lit cigarette? Committed arson for profit? .......... Get where I'm going with this?

Criminals always amaze and amuse me. They have the most colorful, imaginative, captivating and tear wrenching stories you'll ever hear. Absolutely N O T H I N G is EVER their fault.

Actually a lot of the union contract say you can't be fired off the clock.

So what do they do if they want to fire someone?  Meet them at the timeclock and say clock in, you're fired, now clock out?  I guess they could go to the office sit down, say you're fired, then tell them to clock out.  So that way the employee gets paid for maybe 15 minutes?

Check your contract.  Mine says that if I show up for work, I get 4 hours guaranteed.  So, if they were to fire me fine.  I would sign the time sheet for 4 hours and go look for a job lol!

My wife was fired from Kroger . For a misdemeanor. That happened 10 years ago. She has been working there nearly 2 months. She pasted her 30 day probation. Non violent offense. That happened in her 20s. They lost a good employee. Go back only 7 years it's a joke.
