Hi I work at Ralph's in ca I'm new in the deli dept does anyone know the deli plu meat codes like kretcmar CHIPOTLE BBQ CHICKEN BREAST kretchmar ham off the bone etc thanks so much
PLU codes are going to vary from district to district, so your best bet is to ask where your price book is and look it up right there. It's usually in a 3 ring binder of sorts.
You can always watch the tickets as they print. The UPC should be a system-2 barcode, so it'll be 2-0????-00000-0. The ?'s are the PLU. Just watch them as you're working and eventually you'll pick them up. I've been at a (Kroger owned) grocery store for 18 years, and take it from me... don't try to cram PLUs into your brain. Learn them through association, you'll pick them up much faster than trying to study a list at home.
