So, we just head inventory for the first time with this new method. The one where you shoot everything to a location number, then just pull that up in ISP and make a printout instead of printing out tags to stick on everything. Everything went fine on our end, but then they came to actually do the inventory.
I came in last night (order night) and literally 90% of all of my items balances have been changed by absurd quantities. Shelf actually has 20, and is full with no backstock? Let's go ahead and bump that down to 3 for you. Shelf has 128? Let's cut that alllll the way down to 22 for you. Oh, the shelf was actually close to empty and had 3, with 12 allocated? Let me go ahead and bump that up to 40 for you. I opened up my order and saw it was TRIPLE the size it normally is and immediately had a wtf moment. I literally had to type in every single item on that order, F0 it to see how much they had changed it by, then add that number onto the current balance to get a somewhat accurate amount. Those are just the ones that they bumped down, all the ones they bumped up, I will have to go and shoot every item in my department as those won't show up in the order obviously.
I think they just had a terrible crew working that had no idea what they were doing, because if this is common for this new type of inventory, holy jesus.
