Will the Tianjin explosion affect inventory?

I know a LOT of the frozen seafood is imported from China, but I don't know which parts.

The port of Tianjin is the largest in North China, and the 4th busiest in the world.

Does anyone who works in the warehouses or distribution centers know which ports Kroger gets their goods from?

From what someone has said, from a company that had lots of containers in the port, it is all gone. They lost over 30 million dollars.

30 million? Those explosions are billions of dollars of damage. The buildings all in the area are destroyed.

The $30 million was for ONE company, that had products in the port.

Uh...does it matter?  I don't know why you'd be concerned with Kroger inventory unless you were a manager...in which case I don't know why you'd be posting here.

When things become more scarce, they go up in price. Everyone should be concerned.

And then you have to listen to the customers complain.  Like when they outlawed plastic bags in Dallas.  Gripe, gripe, gripe.  I finally just told the customers "we aren't in Dallas".  Didn't matter.  Dallas had to pay for bags so when were we going to start charging for them.  On and on.
