I am a produce clerk and have completed all my CPT's for back-up produce manager as well as the ones for Grocery and Non-foods....I was told that once competed those that I should be moved up then told no so who has info on this and what happens now as my management team don't seem to give a damn...thanks
I hope I'm wrong in your case, but I've seen these games played before. Senior management will pick someone with stars in their eyes, that person still buying the line of Just work hard and you too can succeed. And only to be placed in a nothing--ass, dead end job that's SUPPOSED to be management but has no real power or career advancement.
If this turns out to be that, one thing you could do is put in 6 months to a year, get some experience, then take it to another store........or better yet, a whole nother company. Best to you.
