A email from kroger please help

i just got this email does it mean im hired  help me please...

 

Congratulations on making the decision to join Kroger Stores. We are excited to have you join our team.

In preparation for your first day, we would like to invite you to visit our Onboarding Portal.

Information found on the Onboarding Portal will introduce you to our organization and help ensure you are well prepared on your first day. The Onboarding Portal contains information about our company, our associates and our community involvement. You will also have access to our business social network (Yodel), allowing you to interact with other new associates.

When accessing the Onboarding Portal for the first time, you will be required to set a password.  Upon creating your password, retain the password for future use as you will need it on your first day of work. 

IMPORTANT: Upon creating your password, retain the password and ensure you have it available with you during your first few days on the job as you will need it to complete your new hire paperwork.

If you have any questions throughout this process, please feel free to contact your location's Hiring Representative.

"Welcome aboard!"  means yes to me.

Have you been interviewed yet?  Or just filled in an application?

What position did you apply for?

Log into the portal and see what is there.  I tried clicking link but wouldn't allow me to do anything.

Yes went to interview took drug test last friday got the email Tuesday when will they call for orientation

Look on that site in the email and see if you can glean any info from there.

When I was hired, I didn't get any fancy emails.  I spoke directly to the person doing the hiring.  I do not think anyone else is sure how the hiring process works now.

Call whoever hired you and ask them.  I would wait until Friday tho.  The results from the drug test/background check may not be in yet.

Good luck on your new job.  I hope it works out well.

We have many people post on this site with the same questions you have.  No one has definitely been able to answer the questions.  If you do get hired, please post an update.  I am curious how the hiring process works for you.

I got the same email the day after my interview. The person who interviewed me said they were offering me the job and then pulled out a drug test.......
So I'm hired?

Yes they hust waiting on your background and drug test to come back thay got back to me in 3 days they call me yesterday to come in and sign my paperwork and come in for orientation

How far back do they check your background cuz i did something very stupid at the age 18 im 26 now in i havent gotten in any trouble sense then do you think it would jeopardize me from getting this job

It depends on the store manager, how well the hiring person actually does their job and how bad they need help(most stores are desperate).

What state are you in?  Don't give specific location because this board is not sponsored by Kroger.

What position did you apply for?

What did you do wrong as a teen?

Some things from the past can be easily forgiven.  Other things can are not easy to let slide.
