I'm a courtesy clerk and u was just wondering if it's acceptable for men to wear earings. I'm trying to figure this out before I pierce them.

Ask a management but the answer is yes. I am a cashier and mine are pierced

From what I recall, it was ok as long as it was 1-2 per ear, and no gauges. But that's been a long time ago.

I had to look what a gauge is.  We have a CC with his ears with gauges.  I guess it depends on the store manager and how hard they want to enforce company policy.    Is there anyway to fix that?     
Ask your store manager first.  Maybe they will talk you out of it and save you some grief later.
