So quick question, I work two jobs, Kroger being one of them. I'm wanting to have the other be my only job soon. BUT. Both jobs want me to work tomorrow. I'm scheduled 5am-1 tomorrow morning at Kroger and 9am at my other. I want to call out at Kroger but not sure of the best way to do it. Should I lie or tell them the honest truth? That I chose my other job over them?
It's up to you. If you want the other job to be your only job, and you know that the other job is going to keep you, then just call Kroger and tell them you can't come in. If they want to know why then tell them or just lie and say you aren't feeling well. Just give them a few hours (at least) to find a replacement for you if you want to be nice. Also, make sure to give them two weeks notice before you leave them for good if you want to leave on a good note.

I sound like a jerk but I'm desperate!
To be fair you should change your availability at both jobs so you aren't schedule at the same time. First job am, Kroger pm or something like that.

This, but keep in mind that thanks to e-schedule, you may end up with zero hours (which I bet you're okay with anyways since you have the other job), or they'll just completely ignore your availability under the "needs of the business" bullcrap.
