Hey, I'm new here... I dont really know how to use this yet, so I hope I'm doing it right.

Basically, I just wanted some peoples opinions on my hiring process sofar.

I interviewed last Saturday, but not by the person who was originally supposed to interview me... That person was out of town. The person who DID interview me said everything looked good, and that as far as he knew Id be hired... Just to wait to hear from my original interviewer after she got back from her vacation. So I waited, waited... It's been a week now, and I finally got an email that says "Welcome to the team... And told me to join this site... "In preparation for my first day" ... But it didn't say when that would be.

So my question is, do I call to find that out? Wait to be called? And is this the usual hiring process? (Minus interviewer being out of town).

Also, any advice for my first day would be greatly appreciated since I'm nervous and don't know what to expect :)

Thanks for reading.

They told you to join this site?  This isn't an official Kroger sanctioned website.  Did the e-mail actually come from Kroger?

Just to let you know this isn't an offical Krogrr website, we all just come here to **** on our managers and Krogrrs idiotic policies. If anything just call the store and ask when your first day of employment is.

Yeah, the email came from "Kroger Onboarding" as a welcome message and login info to join their website. & it said something about this site too. Theres a link on the Kroger Onboard website to this one.

Really? That's news to me ROFL. I know about the onboarding site but to http://krogerforum.activeboard.com... man that's crazy!

We're glad you're here, in any case.

Yes, just call the store and ask them about your first day and your computer training should follow, expect that to last 2-3 days before you head down to the floor.

'Gratz on your job. I hope you enjoy working for Kroger!

It's not easy learning everything at the beginning and a lot will be expected from you but if you can absorb and remember the information that gets thrown at you you should do fine If you get confused ask someone, your manager should introduce you to your department head, supervisor, and probably the person who will be training you will follow. They will do a run down and watch you for a bit until you look like you have the hang of it and things will go from there. Just don't give up and soon you'll be doing it like a champ!

If you run into a problem or something you don't know. Ask, ask, ask!

This site does offer more training than the Krogrr corporation does.
