Can anyone list the steps for printing signs for display endcaps? The file coordinators usually do it but they are off on the weekends and sometimes i like to change out the endcaps early or i'll change them to burn thru some backstock. Thanks.

If you don't know how to make a goddamned sign what makes you think you should be making calls on switching out end caps? I hope you aren't a grocery manager....

Just never had to make a sign dip**** like i explained in the original post due to file coordinators. Do u comprehend what u read or are u just stupid?
If I remember correctly, log into the rf gun and select estp, then it will show your euid and the time and date (select it) then scan the item and select the template (11x7, 3.5x11) then process it (don't remember the keys) then log into telnet in the office and select estp on there and find your batch. Go through the steps and edit the sign, then put in the sign stock and print. It's been a while and i might have missed steps but there are the broad strokes. Good luck.
if youre a lead you should already know how to make a sign. your poor poor scan coordinator..
If you know how to make a tag its basically the same but instead of CTRL + T x 2 you will press CTRL + T once then go to function + 3 for the template... pick your size then press Function + 5 to save it.. then you have to go to the office log in to estp on the computer and go to SIGNS and TAGs or whatever it says and find your EUID and there should be instructions how to print but you select the item, put in the correct size sign in the printer and press f5 to print.
Wait, other people are supposed to know how to make signs? No one in Grocery or Drug GM knows how to make signs at my store and refuse to learn. I'm the backup for our File Lead, so we always just have to make all of their signs for them, and if something gets changed on the weekend while I'm at Self-checkout, someone has to take over for me so I can make their signs for them. If I'm not there that day, then the display just goes without a sign until Monday.

Yes. Every department is supposed to make their own signs. The file coordinator is responsible for the DSD vendors signs and to walk the store to make sure everything is signed properly that nothing was missed by the departments.
Yeah, that has to be different for different divisions. Our scan coordinator is responsible for everything as well. Nobody else knows how to sign. I only know a couple because I needed to get things signed before they could get to it and had to fiddle around till I learned some of it.
Like the other person said, every lead and back up is suppose to know how to make signs. If they don't they arent doing their job correctly or lazy.
It depends on store volume. We are a million dollar store so the leads and dept heads do not have time to do signs thus the file coordinators take care of them all except for produce, meat, and deli. We are supposed to learn how and have been taught but not having to do them everyday has lead almost everyone to forget.

We all have that one co-worker who's an ass when you ask how to do something. I think I found the online equivalent, guys!
Delta is probably right where divisions are different. We are a medium-high volume store yet the scan coordinator position is part time, 3 days a week. It used to be full time but that changed a few years ago. Each department didn't get any extra labor time to make their own signs when they made the change of course.

it doesnt depend on the store volume to know how to make signs. it doesnt depend on the district too. everyone that puts up displays should know how to make signs in case of the file coordinator not being there for vacation or sick leave, etc.

Too bad you can't find out which million dollar store doesn't make them do the signs, you could call them and complain. Ahhhh, too bad. Maybe a call to the corporate office to share you wisdom?

it literally takes 3 mins to make a sign when you put a new display. dumb ****
This is kind of the core issue with kroger. They hire dumb motherf**ckers who can't be bothered to learn the most basic of tasks at store level.
In order to learn something, you have to be shown how to do it first...
don't blame this guy if his store never made him learn it. it was just a question, if you know it all why didn't you explain the steps on how to do it?

He should know and that is why he is asking dumbass. What if everybody who asks how to do something is treated like they are stupid? No one would know anything. kill yourself you miserable human being

shut the **** up. youre an idiot who thinks every anon is op?
Isn't that in the job description? Grocery Manager no need to have any prior grocery dept. knowledge.
lol, seems like it with some of the people they promote. However, I know alot of times people are thrown into positions and expected to figure it out on their own or with limited training.
Which is basically it. We don't have official training programs here(although I've seen it mentioned in other posts that some divisions do have them), it's basically, "Hey, watch this dude for a couple of weeks, now go!". It really becomes obvious because the coordinator will reference things and nobody will know anything about them, namely computer things. Don't blame the department heads, blame Kroger for not having proper education set in place.

Our store has 8 file cordinators assigned to different areas of the store responsible for all signs and tags. Sometimes when i go to make a sign the co-mgrs will fuss at me for wasting time and tells me to just have the file coordinators do it. I like to help out and print my own signs sometimes whenever they have a huge mega event or mutiple calls ins but it is actively discouraged. I guess it depends on the store or division or how many file coordinators each store has.
