Anyone else in Fuel feel completely disconnected from the rest of the store?

I've worked here about 6 months now, and I've had maybe one encounter with the SM, a few with an asshat co-manager who would always complain about how I haven't changed the garbage bins when they're half full and its a busy morning (not to mention the person closing should've done it). As well as he'd just talk bad about literally everyone, thankfully he moved to another store. But there's literally no communication out here. I have to call the front-end almost every single shift to get someone out to cover my breaks since we only have 4 people in Fuel. Half the time I call they don't even know the schedule or how long my shift is or how many breaks I'm supposed to have.

The only people I have any interaction with are my co-workers out here when we switch shifts, and occasionally my department head who is a pretty cool dude and we get along well. He asked me if I wanted to help him out a few months back since he has a massive workload, he said it would come with a raise and full-time. I need to be trained for Mimik but it hasn't happened, he says its because they won't let him have enough hours. Essentially I'd be doing his job on his days off / vacation. So whats with the months of nothing happening? Is it just complete BS or is it because they don't like giving people full-time hours? I've been a pretty damned good worker. I've called in one single day in my 6 months and I gave them 24h notice. I've come in on days off multiple times to cover shifts, I do what I'm supposed to and my Dept. Head likes me quite a bit.

Sounds nice. I'd love to be disconnected from everyone else.

I understand that, I actually love the fact that I don't have to deal with the kind of hell FE employees do. Fuel has a lot of expectations out of you, but no one really seems to care at all. I heard stories from co-workers that the old co-manager that left used to watch the cameras out there and yell at anyone that was sitting down.

Our Fuel Center is very disconnected from the rest of our store too. I always see the opening fuel clerk in the mornings doing their pick for tobacco and stuff, and that's the only time I ever see them. Fuel clerks at our store also never get breaks. It's similar to how people who work pharmacy on Sundays at my store don't get breaks, because there's no one to relieve them.
