The lengths management will go to for customer satisfaction are astounding and sometimes despicable. I saw a transgender woman on Twitter who quit after her management asked her to use the men's restroom because a customer complained about her using the women's room. That's not the kind of customer you want to appeal to and treating your employees like that is a good example of how this company is burning itself to the ground.
Unfortunately that kind of abusive lunacy is becoming the norm everywhere, not just retail in general----you can thank our increasingly butt hurt society and all the retarded law suits for it.
Either way, what the hell business is it for a customer to worry about an employee's bathroom habits? i'm sure this customer was a type of hag that no one of any gender or sexual preference would be interested in.
I'm glad management at my store doesn't give a crap about that type of thing. we have an employee that a few people have complained about in the osat about the way he dresses, and management just ignores the comments.

Well, the he/she quit. They could have grieved it, taken some action, but chose to quit instead. Case closed. Nothing to be done about it now.
Transgender my foot. If you don't have the right plumbing "down there", then use the proper restroom.
Fun fact Anon-
Males, with penises and all, are allowed to use a women's restroom.
There are zero laws that dictate restroom usage. :)
ZERO LAWS? Take a look:
Q: Are employers allowed to tell an employee to use a restroom that does not match the person's gender identity or presentation?
A: Employers should make the workplace fair for all employees. Currently, 18 states (CA, CO, CT, DE, HI, IL, IO, ME, MA, MD, MN, NJ, NV, NM, OR, RI, VT, WA) and the District of Columbia have employment laws that explicitly protect employees on the basis of gender identity. Moreover, the U.S. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) forbids employers from placing unreasonable restrictions on restroom access. By insisting that someone use the wrong bathroom, an employer is both violating the employees privacy, exposing that employee to harassment by effectively outing him or her as transgender and potentially even compromising the employees health

Pshew! Glad my home state isn't on the ignorant list.
Stupid question, but how does the customer know about the transgender person's plumbing? I wouldn't be surprised if they quit with the intention of suing. *fingers crossed*
