So, I just got my paycheck for last weeks hours... I got all my hours PLUS a few more... for a 'legal holiday'...

But what legal holiday could there have possibly been last week? And it couldn't have possibly been a 'late new years' holiday pay because I didn't work the day, I was on vacation, and I still got that pay for it...?

I'm not complaining for the extra bucks! I'm just curious about it...

You still should have been paid for the legal holiday even if you didn't work it, when i was on vacation memorial day week i got the pay for it.

New Years Day. They do the same thing at our store, give us our standard vacation check the Thursday after you take your vacation (unless you request it be the prior week), and if that vacation included a legal holiday, they tack that on to the check after that.
