I talked to a co-manager about how do employees get a discount on getting a vehicle. I was told that I would get the info as soon as I turned in my vacation time. How does all of this exactly fit together?

I forgot to mention the rest in my previous post. The co-manager wouldn't even print out one sheet of info unless and until I turned in my vacation time. Plus they were a bit snappy about it. Also they haven't done it before and we've always got along and still do. And would the discount apply to used vehicles? There are a couple I have my eye on.

Just your manager being agenda driven. He wants everyone to put in for their vacation week(s) asap, and he's just gonna be a dick about anything else until you do it.
Wouldn't matter. You could be asking about getting a new oven mitt.. or a cart strap, and he'd say "Well, turn in your vacation requests, and we'll see about it, Timmy"

I can't believe he is withholding information from you to get you to fill out vacation forms. Go online, put in for your vacation, then call the union and file a grievance on him for withholding information. Chances are you aren't going to get the vacation days you requested anyway so you can always change it again later. See what your union says about vacation days too. I know we had to do it by the end of January, but they never remembered.
I know I got a $500 discount for my daughter when she bought a used car. I didn't really file any paperwork or anything because when I mention it to the salesman he just said oh, ok, I will give her the discount. It was easy lol.
So check on your union website for the car discount information. There might even be a poster in your breakroom with the information. Good luck!
