My hours keep on increasing every week. I told the manager to decrease my hours because I cant work 30+ hours due to school. She told me okay, but still keeps on increasing the hours because they dont want to hire another worker when we are short handed which is not my problem. I can only work 15-20hours a week. Im thinking of quitting or not showing up to work the days I cant work. Any advice?
Goto greatpeople.me . Set your availability to what days you need off. Write a letter to the store manager and department manager(schedule writer) letting them know you are unable to work too many hours. Have a copy of school schedule available to show you are busy outside of Kroger. They are not supposed to be able to force you to work outside of your availability. But, "needs of the business" gets used loosely.
Other than that, your next step is to ask your union steward how to handle this.
I think school is important so that is your priority. You just might need to find another job that will work with your school schedule.
Unfortunately I cannot give my shifts away because the other people in my department are getting 40+ hours already.
Issue here is we are short on workers and the store is not hiring Im not sure why...
The schedule writer is the department manager I already told her about this it seems like she does not understand but yet again all they care about is having someone work.

Couple of things you could try:
A) You say your schedule writer/manager is female? If you're a male (you never specified) you could service her cervix. Fix her clit, be her dream, make her scream. Of course you have that option if you're female too, just sayin'.
B) You could catch this person out side getting in their car and, well, not actually kill them or even hurt them----just dress in black like a psycho Ninja and scare the doo doo out of them with a pipe and pair of rusty pliers. Take pictures of them quivering and snotting up and fb post em.
C) Back to sex. Anal beads, migit bondage, rubber fuk-mep-faces, 2 guys and a cup games, Hulk Fisting, etc, could be just the ticket here.
