Hi everyone, does anyone here know how to do a price override at the U-scan (self checkout) register? I can't seem to remember the correct sequence.
Also, how do you go about doing a Till Exchange? I was told to highlight each lane from the touchscreen and then tap this sequence: Clear-No sale-Override-Enter. Is this correct?
I asked and so far 2 people gave me the wrong information. I work late nights...and I needed to know the correct way of doing these things since I just started working in U-Scan.
Enter price of item (for example, if it's supposed to be 2.99, type in 299), Price Override, scan item, push 5 when you see the selections, then enter.
For the till exchange, you do this when the store's accounting period ends and the next period begins. This typically happens at about 12:20am depending on your division. When in doubt, just wait until someone tries to scan something in which your computer will say "TILL EXCHANGE REQUIRED" then do No Sale -> Override -> Enter on all of the u-scans.
