A new Kroger is being unnecessarily constructed nearby, and they are allegedly hiring for Click List online ordering.

Does anyone here currently work at a store that does Click List?

As a cashier, I spend a lot of time thinking about creative ways to kill myself inside the store.  Filling an online order, though, sounds almost fun, even if loading it in the customer's car may be horrifying.

How poorly does it really work?  The customers at my current store are poor and stupid, so I don't know how it would go.  I'm concerned I'd end up pushing a broom or mop bucket until an order comes in once or twice a day, twelve hours a week.

They added it to the store I work at.  I rarely see the people who work that department and when I do they don't seem to be in a hurry and/or looking for something to do.  They built a special area for people to park for clicklist and its always empty.  Managers are pushing for it during huddles, talking about how great it is, and I'll bet that most of there business is coming from salaried managers who are looking to score brownie points.  I do not see it lasting past the summer.

Poor and stupid would describe a good chunk of our customers as well  Even people who have money don't want to spend extra money on groceries and people are picky about what they want to eat or the condition of their produce and meat.  Who's gonna trust someone working for minimum wage to pick something out?  Home delivered groceries never caught on and I suspect the same is true with clicklist.  If your simply looking to avoid customers freight crew might be for you.  Or one of the early morning positions.
