Do any of your stores have a Chinese kitchen or is this just a Fry's thing? The spicy orange chicken was the only thing keeping me alive. I spoke with a kitchen clerk and they said it was discontinued, I didn't get a reason though. Now, during my lunches I sit in the backroom contemplating whether to jump into the trash compactor or continue living life without spicy orange chicken.

Well, in my experience, when the stores discontinue something, it is because it is popular and sells like crack at any price.

We had the most sought after and most bought baking mix discontinued a few years ago.  It took about a month to force it back into the set.

Try one last thing before you jump in that nasty trash compactor.  Get a petition started to return the item on the menu.  Maybe have customers mention it on the customer survey.  Only put it on the survey once for yourself maybe once a week.

Yeah this is true. In my deli they keep trying to get rid of the stuff our chef makes from scratch and replace it with stuff you make from a kit.  The thing is, the most popular sellers are the things the chef makes from scratch. Then of course customers get mad.  They've tried to get rid of his ham salad at least once a year for the past 3 years, only to bring it back when customers complained.  I'm sure they'll make another attempt to remove it soon.
