I worked for Kroger before in about a year and when I was there the first time they did in house hiring interviews swab drug test. I was only away about 6 months and want to come back. I was told that was fine because I left under good conditions and all that but they told me to put in the app online of course as I did last time but I do know its third party hiring now(infortalent?)they told me they would do the interview over the phone. I was just wondering if anyone has experience with the way they are hiring now not in house. I get the phone interview but does anyone know how the process goes these days like if I get the call and do the interview are they going to send me to a clinic to do the drug test or is that still an in store process? Im not sure if this is for every store now or what I kind of assumed so I thought maybe someone could help me with the process who had been hired through the 3rd party company. Thanks alot in advance

Every part of Kroger has different policies on this from place to place.
I suspect the drug test will still be in-house during your in person meeting.
The phone interview was a complete joke and was just repeated questions off of the personality quiz we were forced to take.
If they do not call you back soon enough, you may need to call your store. Their online hiring process has a not insignificant problem of failing to submit applications, while appearing to be complete.

Yeah I went through something like that about 2 yrs ago. It was stupid what I had to go through just to get a crappy Kroger job back, but I'm in college and I need all the extra cash I can get. So any ways here's what I had to do. I had to submit 3 drug tests, cuz the 1st got lost, the 2nd was a false positive and then they almost messed up the 3rd one to! For that one they drove me out to this weird mobile lab van out in the middle of BFE, and I said no this is to weird and they said oh don't worry this will be the last step. So I said ok and we went inside. From there they had the lnside all done up in black light like a horror movie and i almost bounced right then but they said no relax this is almost over, it's just procedure we're almost done.
Look, the worst part really was when I had to **** in a cup and watch two guys smear it on each other's lips and the other lick it off. Then I had to jerk off in ones face while the other watched adult swim cartoons and masturbated all over the rest of y ****. Then they both took turns eating all the rest, except for some residue they said was for 'the drug test'.
So anyways you'll be fine once they're done with all that. They're names are Bob and Ahmed, btw if you care to know.
My interview was pretty basic. They hooked me up to check my pulse. After it took a few minutes to find it, i was hired. They said if could stand up and put my hands in the air for 10 seconds then i could be a co-manager. Maybe i will work my way to that next time. Fingers crossed.
