Hey guys, i just got hired as a courtesy clerk and last thursday i attended orientation, that went well and just today i had the computer training in which i completed in one day too. During the computer training there was a section about PIT's, you know..the vehicles in-store that you use to lift and carry heavy ****. Well, at the end of the section about learning all of it, there was a 20 something question quiz that i passed, after i passed the quiz it said to notify your supervisor to do the hands-on performance task. I completely skipped notifying my supervisor and just checked the box off that i did pass my hands on test even though i never did it at all...will i get in trouble for this? after i checked the boxes off it said im now certified to use PIT's.

Just ask about it when you get a chance. It's not hard. It's just backing up, lifting, lowering, and knowing what safety features are on the machine.

PIT? You mean a pallet jack? EDIT: Ah I see you're referring to the Power Jacks / Straddle stacker. As far as I know basics apply (over 18, properly trained, etc.) so I don't really know myself as I am not "trained" in running the jacks at my store. Secondly another question if you don't mind answering, as I am confused. You're a CC, so why are you being trained on the Power Equipment in the first place when your contract will not allow use of it pretty much at all (outside of job description duties, im guessing. I know for my as Uc, we are not authorized to use the power jacks for any reason as that is not in our job description.) Unless you're transferring to another dept and becoming a full fledged stocker, etc. Just curious is all.

Its very true when I took orientation for cc also it took 3 days and it was multiple choice which you could fail repeatedly and take over until you passed but it covered bagging, checking, selling to minors, then all kinds of **** in the back about wrapping pallets and what can be stacked and how high it was kinda ridiculous but it was easy and i was getting paid for relaxing even tho i was peeved at why they would even go into all that..From what I heard its still the same.
