New Hire Questions (Courtesy Clerk)

I have some questions about my responsibilities on the job as a Courtesy Clerk:

1) What do you do if you're scheduled for a Utility Check? It's on the same board as the Carts one but I'm confused on what to do on the Utility one?

2) As a Courtesy Clerk, do you wear the apron? They gave me one but unsure of when to where it?

3) How and Where do you find other scheduled times for other duties? For example, clean bathrooms?

4) As a courtesy clerk, should I memorize where products are on each isle?

Any help to these questions, is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

2) As a Courtesy Clerk, do you wear the apron? They gave me one but unsure of when to where it? Only wear it at home and when cooking.

3) How and Where do you find other scheduled times for other duties? For example, clean bathrooms? always clean bathrooms after boom booom.

4) As a courtesy clerk, should I memorize where products are on each isle? nah they change daily.

Any help to these questions, is greatly appreciated.

Thanks

Ask the CSM what they want you to be doing.  The Utility Clerk is allowed to do everything a CC does in our contract.  If they want you to be a CC, then be a CC for the day.  If they want you to be Utility, then ask what you are supposed to be doing.  Your store might be different and have the Utility clerk only doing cleaning during the shift.

2) As a Courtesy Clerk, do you wear the apron? They gave me one but unsure of when to where it?

Everyone is supposed to be wearing an apron during their shift except during breaks.

3) How and Where do you find other scheduled times for other duties? For example, clean bathrooms?

Ask the CSM.  The scan coordinator had the "list" at our store.  It is possible no one knows that a list exists at your store.

4) As a courtesy clerk, should I memorize where products are on each isle?

You don't have to memorize everything.  It is good to be familiar with where products are in the store in case a customer asks you for help finding something.  Most stores have some kind of reference list for the store.  It is next to the fliers at the entrance or ask customer service if they have a copy.

Any help to these questions, is greatly appreciated.

Thanks
